Busy Busy

It's been awhile since I wrote. Seems like I'm always busy doing something, like opening and closing a drawer over and over for 15 minutes straight. Important activities like that. So much fun too!

Plus I've had important visitors this week. Grandpa Woods came by for a quick hello on the weekend. It was fun to see him again but next time I hope he can stay longer. He was busy buying some furniture from IKEA, I guess so that he could open and close drawers like me.

And our friends Wallace and Catherine and Ellie are staying with us for a few days this week, so I have a new playmate! Ellie is only 6 months older than me, but wow, she knows all sorts of words and she can walk all over and drive my train around and stuff. I guess I have a lot to learn this year! I like Ellie because she's always smiling and laughing and she doesn't scare me like other older kids do sometimes.

And it's finally warmer outside so we can go to the park and play in the sandbox and look at ducks and throw rocks in the pond. And I don't have to bundle up in my crozziesuit anymore. Hooray!

12 months of Crosby

I forgot to update my blog on my birthday. I was too busy playing with my new toys. My new toys rock. I have to admit though, even though I have baskets full of toys, I'm often most interested in playing with things like Dad's basket full of dirty laundry. Or Mom's basket full of clean laundry... she folds everything nice and neat and then when she's not looking I crawl over and pull stuff out. I also love playing with the pot lids and colander in the kitchen cabinet, and I've spent 20 minutes straight opening and closing the kitchen drawers. One of the most fascinating things in our house is the toilet. I don't know why Mom never lets me stick my hand in the water. I keep trying though, every day.

I had the BEST birthday party, by the way. You can click on my photo to see some other photos from the party.

But I'm finding that being one isn't always easy. I started drinking whole milk now but it's not very good. I guess I'll get used to it. And Mom sometimes wants me to drink from a cup but I really like having my bottle. I had to go to the doctor yesterday for my checkup and it was rough. She took 10 drops of blood from my finger to check for lead and iron. Ouch! I wish I could've just told her I would never eat a lead paint chip. I never put anything in my mouth, as I've mentioned before. But all I could say at that moment was "Dah!" (followed by "WAAAAAAHHHHHHH!") Did I mention that I can say "Duck" when I'm in the bathtub with my rubber duckie?

Anyway, I guess I'm at that stage where I'm not exactly a baby anymore, but not quite a toddler.
