swinging

The people who lived in our house before left us a nice wooden swingset with a slide and everything. So we tried it out this week since I'm pretty good at sitting up now. I was barely moving at all but boy it was a blast. Mom crouched down near my feet and popped up every time I swung back and I couldn't stop giggling. Swinging + Peekaboo = FUN! Tomorrow, I think I'll try out the monkey bars. My other favorite pasttimes lately are playing in my exersaucer (I already broke off one of the toys... oops), rolling a ball around, and picking up plastic blocks. I'm really getting the hang of using my hands more... they sure do come in handy.

Yum!!

I'm not sure what it is there on that spoon, but it sure is good! I used to think there was nothing in the world better than milk. This was mainly because I thought that there was nothing in the world other than milk to drink. I still think milk's the best, but I've been having some fun trying other stuff too. I'm a pretty quick learner - I'm very good at opening my mouth as wide as possible so that the spoon fits. I'm not so good at keeping stuff from oozing down off of my chin, but I'll figure that out someday soon.

I'm still trying my best to crawl around. Rolling over and back is no problem at all now. Even though trying to crawl is still pretty much my favorite thing to do, I've also been pretending to be an airplane, by lying on my tummy and lifting up my head, arms, and legs off of the ground. Fun! Mom and Dad are really going to have to get busy and Crosby-proof our house soon. And poor Zip the cat is going get his exercise trying to escape from me.

Duck Boat

This week was fun. I wasn't sick anymore, and Grandma and Grandpa Vitale and Uncle Johnny visited and we all toured Boston together. They make me laugh, they're always acting so crazy. Here we are on the Duck Boat. Boy that tired me out... I was trying to take a nap but the tour guide kept talking loud on the microphone and it was all windy so I couldn't catch any Z's. But I was a trooper... we walked all over the city, rode the subway, drove all over, went to restaurants. I was so exhausted that I went to bed at 6:30!

I showed everyone how I can talk and play with my toys and roll and scoot around now. I think they were impressed.

Hot Hot Hot

Last week, Aunt Mary and Uncle Dave came to visit me! So why do I look so sad, you ask? They visited us on the hottest day of the year. It was 100 degrees and extra humid and I was grumpy all day. Everybody blamed the weather but actually I had a fever and a cold, which nobody realized until the next day when I was still burning up. I hope Mary and Dave come back to see me again when I'm in a better mood. They're so nice.
