Relaxing in the hammock

Living in Massachusetts means that we get to enjoy the warm and balmy summer evenings. Sometimes I like to walk around in the backyard after dinner and enjoy the cool breezes while I watch the trees sway and rustle and the squirrels and birds run around. Today we spent some relaxing time rocking around in the hammock, looking up at the almost thunderstormy sky. Grandma Woods planted some nice flowers for us in the yard when she was here on a visit - if you look carefully you can see some of them blooming in this picture. Thanks Grandma!

Lately I've been using my hands more to grab at stuff. I still can't quite make my hands do what my brain wants them to all the time, but sometimes I get it right. And I'm getting even better at rolling over. Mom and Dad are going to have to Crosby-proof the house pretty soon!

happy dad's day!

Hey what's that cow doing on my blanket? I like lying around outside in our shady backyard these days. It's fun to look up at the trees and the clouds. And I got to watch the dogs run around the yard this week too.

Today I went out for a father's day brunch with Dad and Mom, Grandma and Pops Woods, and Noel, Johanna and Lila. I wore a funny new T-shirt that says "I LOVE DAD" on it, but then I got it all messy before anyone could take a picture of it. Dad and Pops are installing an air conditioner. Good thing because it's hot today, over 90 degrees, so I'm only wearing my diaper now. My size 1 diapers barely fit me all of a sudden. I've grown a lot this week. My legs are getting kinda chubby.

I'm sad because Grandma and Pops and Bella and Royt are going home tomorrow.
Happy Father's Day to all you dads and grandpas out there!

Pop

I met my Pop Woods this weekend! He and Grandma Woods are here to visit and they even brought my grand-dogs, Bella and Royt. Bella likes to lick my feet and Royt likes to sniff me. Pop Woods helped Dad install a new toilet on Sunday because Dad broke the toilet water tank and it leaked all over the bathroom. I don't know why everyone doesn't just wear diapers like me.

Did I mention that I can roll over now from my back to my front? I learned that trick from Bella and Royt.

Now that I can hold my head up nice and steady, I get to sit facing out in the baby carrier. Going for walks is much more interesting now that I can see everything passing by. Like my turtle hat?

Like my white duds?

all baptised
Originally uploaded by enwudz.
We had a party on Saturday! Our little house was full of aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents. We all paraded downtown to the burger place for lunch and then crowded into the living room and had fun talking and playing a game and stuff. I was baptised at church on Sunday. I'm not sure what that was all about exactly, but my friend Hope (she's the one wearing the robe in the photo... I'm the one wearing the all-white getup) said all sorts of great things to me and then poured water on my head and I liked that. And then she took me around to visit everybody sitting in the church and I gave them some big grins. I felt like a pretty special little guy.

Grandma and Grandpa Woods are coming for a visit this weekend - I can't wait to see them and show them all of my new tricks. I just hope it stops raining by then - it's no fun being stuck in the house all day long. And Dad's been getting kind of soggy and tired from bailing out the driveway.

Lots of new photos up

Hey there - I've been a busy boy lately, and there are lots of photos to prove it. You can click on this photo to take you there. In the last couple of weeks I've been obsessed with my hands: sucking on fingers, jamming both hands into my mouth at the same time, trying to grab things with them, and generally slurping them up as much as possible. Just in the last week or so, I've been discovering my feet. I think they're pretty groovy, and I love to lift them up high and to grab my toes.

This last week was my second week at day care. So far it's been pretty fun. Or at least I think it has been - I'm not sure because I've been napping through a lot of it, which I don't really do at home.

Today's a big day, and I'm really excited about it. All sorts of family folks are coming up from New Jersey and Rhode Island and other parts of Massachusetts to visit me. Hooray!
